How does MutualPros find pros?
When you connect your contacts, MutualPros privately compares them (hashed one-way, never uploaded in plain text) against everyone else on the app. If your sister, best friend, or their friend has saved a plumber, that plumber shows up on your Discover feed with "Shared by Sarah" attached.
How is MutualPros different from Angi, Thumbtack, or Yelp?
Those platforms show pros who paid to be recommended, or reviews from strangers. MutualPros shows pros your actual contacts and their extended network already use. You call the pro directly — MutualPros never sells your info as a lead and doesn't take a cut.
Do you share my contacts with anyone?
No. Contacts are converted to one-way hashes on your device and used only to find overlap with other users. We never store your contacts' phone numbers or names in a readable form, never sell or share them, and you can delete everything from Settings anytime.
Can I use MutualPros without signing up?
Yes. Tap "Browse pros without an account" on the login screen and you can browse the Charlotte pro directory as a guest. To save pros, ask your network, or see contacts-based recommendations, you'll need an account.
What cities does MutualPros cover?
MutualPros is currently seeded with 900+ Charlotte, NC pros. Other cities can be added — email support@mutualpros.com if you'd like your city prioritized.
Are the pros on MutualPros verified?
The Charlotte directory pros are sourced from public state licensing records (NCLBGC, NCBEEC, etc.). MutualPros does NOT verify licensing, insurance, or credentials for individual pros — always confirm before hiring.
How do I get on MutualPros as a service provider?
If you're a licensed pro in the Charlotte area and want to be added to the directory, email support@mutualpros.com with your business name, license number, and service type.
Is there an Android app?
The iOS app is live on the App Store. Android is in closed testing on Google Play — email support@mutualpros.com if you'd like to be added as a tester.
