a. Account Information
When you register, we may collect:
- Name (not verified)
- Email address
- Authentication method (email, Google, Apple)
b. Phone Number (Optional)
- You may choose to verify your phone number
- Used to reduce spam and enable additional features
c. Contact Information (Optional)
If you enable contact syncing:
- We access names and phone numbers from your device contacts
- Phone numbers are hashed before storage
- We use this data only to identify connections between users
You may disable contact syncing at any time.
d. Location Information
- We collect your ZIP code
- Used to show vendors shared by nearby users
- We do not collect precise GPS location
e. Vendor Information (User Content)
Users may add:
- Vendor name
- Vendor phone number
- Other optional details
f. Usage Data
We may collect:
- App usage data
- Device information
- Analytics via third-party services such as Google Firebase and Google Analytics
g. Payment Information
If you purchase a paid feature or subscription, payment is processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store). We do not receive or store your credit card or payment card details. We may receive a transaction identifier, your subscription status (active, cancelled, expired, in free trial), and the product purchased, so we can grant or restrict access to the paid feature. Apple and Google handle the payment data they collect under their own privacy policies.
2. How We Use Information
We use data to:
- Provide core app functionality
- Enable vendor discovery through contacts and nearby users
- Build connection-based networks (1st, 2nd, 3rd level)
- Prevent fraud, spam, and abuse
- Improve app performance and user experience
3. Contact Data Handling
If you sync contacts:
- Data is used only for matching and connection discovery
- Phone numbers are stored in hashed form
- Direct contacts may be shown with full details
- Indirect contacts are limited to name-level visibility only
You confirm you have permission to share contact data.
4. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We may share data:
- With service providers (e.g., Firebase)
- With payment processors (Apple App Store, Google Play Store) to enable purchases and subscriptions
- To comply with legal obligations
- To protect platform integrity and prevent abuse
5. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Hashing of phone numbers
- Access controls and secure storage
However, no system is completely secure.
6. Your Rights and Choices
You may:
- Opt in or out of contact syncing
- Update or delete your account
- Request deletion of your data
7. Children’s Privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact support@mutualpros.com and we will promptly delete the account and associated data.
8. Third-Party Services
We use third-party services such as:
- Google (Firebase, Analytics, Location services)
- Apple App Store (in-app purchases and subscriptions on iOS)
- Google Play Store (in-app purchases and subscriptions on Android)
- Anthropic (AI assistant features)
These services operate under their own privacy policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes — including changes to what data we collect, how we use it, or who we share it with — we will provide at least fourteen (14) days’ advance notice via an in-app message and, where available, the email address on file. For non-material changes (typos, clarifications), we may update this policy immediately and post the revised version with an updated Effective Date. Continued use of the App after the notice period (for material changes) or after posting (for non-material changes) constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
